Golden Seeds Venture Fund

Golden Seeds Venture Fund (GSVF) has a unique and symbiotic relationship with the Golden Seeds Angel Network. This relationship allows the independently managed Venture Fund to access the entrepreneur funding applications that come to Golden Seeds.  In addition, GSVF leverages the Managing Partners’ professional networks, including referrals from other entrepreneurs, portfolio companies, and syndicate partners.

Managing Partners

GSVF invests in early and revenue growth stage companies with the following criteria:

  • Gender Diversity: At least one woman in the C-suite with an executive operating position and appropriate equity
  • Company Characteristics: exemplary management team, differentiated solution to a known pain point with significant competitive advantages, addressable market exceeding $500,000,000, and capital efficient business model
  • Primary Industry Focus: B2B Technology & Services, Healthcare


The 2011 Funds

Golden Seeds Fund 2 LP and Golden Seeds Innovate NY LP Fund, “the 2011 Funds”, are early and growth stage venture funds based on the successful model developed at Golden Seeds. The 2011 Funds have $31.4 million in committed capital and have invested in 30 companies. The 2011 Funds are closed to new investment.

Joan Zief, Managing Partner
Active investor in early stage high growth companies; board member of Kalion, Inc.; 40 year career in equity research analysis with a focus in insurance and financial institutions.

Peggy Wallace, Managing Partner
15+ years early stage investing experience with focus on software, hardware, consumer goods, life sciences and internet technologies; board member of Cognition Therapeutics; board observer of Paradigm 4 and Cadenza Innovation; Has served on numerous early stage boards.

The 2008 Sidecar Fund

Golden Seeds Fund LP is a 2008 sidecar fund that invested in parallel with members of the Golden Seeds’ angel network. The sidecar fund is closed to new investment and has invested in 16 companies.
